This Privacy Policy sets out how The Log Book publication uses and protects any information provided by subscribers on The Log Book website.

The Log Book may change its Privacy Policy from time to time by up-dating these pages. Subscribers should check the terms of this Privacy Policy to ensure that they are happy with any changes that may be made.

The Log Book publication is committed to protecting the privacy of its subscribers and visitors to its website www.thelogbook.net

Information provided by subscribers will never be shared for any reason (unless required by law) or sold to a third party. The Log Book is required to follow strict security procedures to ensure that stored information is not accessible by unauthorised persons by the Data Protection Act 1988 and 2003 (Republic of Ireland).

Your Consent
When an order is placed online for a subscription, The Log Book will need to know the name, postal address, and e-mail address of the subscriber. The card payment processor used by The Log Book will require credit card details including the card number, expiry date, the name of the cardholder, and the cardholder's address. This will allow payment of the subscription ordered, and ensure that it is delivered to the correct address.

The e-mail address provided by the subscriber may be used to send a subscription renewal form, prior to the expiry of a current subscription. It may also be used to send a maximum of two reminders with regard to the status of the subscription, on or near the publication dates of the two issues of The Log Book that are published immediately following the expiry of the subscription.

Security
To make a payment the subscriber will be transferred to a secure site, which will process the card payment. At no time will The Log Book have access to card details for online payments, and no credit card details are stored by The Log Book in any form.

Site Statistics
The Log Book may disclose aggregate statistics pertaining to the number of visitors to its website. Individual subscribers will not be identified personally in any of these statistics.

Cookies
At this time, The Log Book website does not use cookies. If this situation changes at a future date, notification will be published in this Privacy Policy.

Acceptance of Privacy Policy
By using The Log Book website the subscriber confirms acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If a potential subscriber does not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy they should not use The Log Book website.
